摘要

This paper presents the results of the investigation of the thermodynamic properties of gamma-aluminum oxynitride (AION). The phase relations and thermodynamic properties of AION were analyzed and the Gibbs energies of AION with different compositions and temperatures were calculated by a thermodynamic quasi-parabola rule. Potential phase diagrams of Al-O-N system at different conditions have also been calculated. The synthesis conditions of AION have been determined. AION was synthesized by sintering the starting materials at 25 MPa in N_2 flow at 2073K for 3h. Crystal characteristics and microstructures of AION were determined.
