摘要

Metallic interconnects are attractive for solid oxide fuel cells, but typically require a ceramic coating to minimize chromium volatilization and the associated cathode poisoning. Interaction between the alloy and coating can lead to performance degradation, but also provides opportunities for modifying the composition of the alloy and/or coating for improved long-term performance. This paper contains a discussion of alloy-coating interactions and the use of these interactions in materials selection and design.
