The Khaled bin Sultan Living Oceans Foundation embraces remote sensing technology due to its power and accuracy to conduct broad-scale marine ecosystem mapping.It is imperative for our small,yet ambitious,organization to seek the most cost-effective,high-yield tools and methods to maximize the impact on coastal zone resource management.Throughout the past six years,we have effectively employed airborne hyperspectral remote sensing techniques using Itres Research Ltd.'s(Calgary,Canada)compact airborne spectrographic imager(CASI)as our primary tool of choice.
