In recent years,various attempts have been made to improve the underwater inspection and countermining capabilities of the world's naval forces.After poor results were reached with small,expendable vehicles,which have shown their limitations in terms of navigation capabilities and explosive charge size,the focus of scientific research had shifted toward the use of civilian autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs) adapted for military tasks.
