During the U.S.Navy's Africa Partnership Station(APS),a program designed to build maritime safety and security in Africa in a comprehensive and collaborative manner,High-Speed Vessel 2 Swift deployed five surface drifting buoys during a transit from Rota,Spain,to Dakar,Senegal,while also supporting the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's(NOAA)oceans and climate research efforts.
