AXYS Technologies Inc. (Sidney, Canada) has been contracted to supply Fabricom GDF SUEZ (Immingham, England) with a WatchMate data buoy to assist with Belgian port operations, AXYS announced in February. The buoy is in final testing and is scheduled to be deployed this spring.Fabricom had approached AXYS in late fall 2011 after an existing met-ocean buoy that it had been maintaining was destroyed in an accident with a vessel near the Flemish Banks.
