As recently demonstrated by marine and geophysical research,long-term time series of critical ocean-ographic parameters are paramount to understanding various ocean systems and underwater geological systems.Beyond the primary need for understanding those systems,the growing demand for geohazard monitoring of sensitive areas leads to the prescription of alert criteria based on the permanent acquisition of a set of selected seabed parameters.
