Hafmynd Ehf (Reykjavik,Iceland) and Symphotic Til (Victoria,Canada) recently announced the sale of a Gavia autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV) to the University of Delaware.It will be operated by the College of Marine and Earth Studies (CMES) Coastal Sediments Hydrodynamics and Engineering Lab (CSHEL) for research into underwater navigation,hydrographic surveying,seafloor morphology,water quality,benthic habitat monitoring and sediment transport processes.
