Senior U.S.Navy officers from the five nations taking part in Exercise Malabar 07-2 met on the Indian flagship INS Viraat (R 22) last fall,kicking off the four-day exercise.The commander of the Viraat carrier strike group hosted the officers,which included other commanders from the USS Kitty Hawk and the USS Nimitz carrier strike groups and leaders from the Singaporean,Australian and Japanese maritime self-defense force contingents.
