GulfMark Offshore Inc. (Houston, Texas) will begin a new vessel construction program, the company announced in August. The first three platform supply vessels, designed for deepwater and harsh marine environments, will be built by Remontowa Shipbuilding SA (Gdansk, Poland) and cost $120 million. They are expected to operate in the North Sea.
