摘要

The present investigation was carried out at Cashew Research Station, Ranasinghpur, O.U.A.T., Bhubaneswar for the period 1996-2002. Over a period of seven years of investigation, H320 and H303 were observed mid-season flowering cashew types having flowering period 1st or 2nd week of December to 1st week of March and harvesting is completed by 2nd and 3rd week of April. Duration of nut collection of these types ranges from 26-33 days and average nut weight is 7.67 g and 8.05 g in H320 and H303 respectively. Mean shelling percentages of H 320 and H303 are 28.88 and 31.04 respectively. After seven harvests, highest cumulative yield (kg/ plant) was recorded in H320 (31.48) followed by BPP30/1 (30.59) and H303 (29.33). M44/3, BPP15/4 and BPP30/1 are early types having smaller nuts and nut weight below 7g. Highest nut weight was observed in H367 (9.75 g) followed by H255 (9.24g) and their cumulative yields (kg/plant) were 22.81 & 19.21 respectively. Thus, H320 and H303 were found suitable genotypes for cultivation in the state of Orissa.
