T&T Marine Salvage Inc.(Galves-ton,Texas)and Bisso Marine Co.Inc.(New Orleans,Louisiana)recently announced a new response alliance- T&T Bisso LLC.Recent legislation amending the Oil Pollution Act of 1990(OPA 90)requires that an owner or operator of a non-tank vessel over 400 gross tons,operating in the navigable waters of the United States,prepare and submit a vessel response plan to the U.S.Coast Guard by August 9,2005.In addition to pollution response,the plan must list salvage,fire-fighting and lightering services that the vessel will call upon in the event of a casualty.
