Geoscience professionals from across the globe will convene in Houston, Texas, for the 79th Annual Meeting of the Society of Exploration Geophysicists (SEG) October 26 through 30.Despite the challenges faced by the industry in the past year, conference organizers are reporting healthy advance registration and vigorous demand for booth space from exhibitors. They also expect an upsurge in attendance from international members, who comprise 60 percent of the society's membership. At last year's meeting in Las Vegas, Nevada, 38 percent of attendees were from outside the United States, said the organizers.
