DCNS (Paris, France) launched the Gowind-type offshore patrol vessel, L'Adroit, just one year after construction work began, with the "first cut" on May 7, 2010, and float-out on May 18, 2011, the company said in May. DCNS said improved design and production methods enabled them to build and outfit the vessel in less than 20 months.
