It is summertime, and movies emphasizing action are no doubt topping the box office. I jump on that bandwagon this month with a look at an installment in the Fast & Furious (F&F) series. The series began in 2001 with The Fast and the Furious, and has continued through six sequels, featuring more and more spectacular jumps, flips, rolls, and explosions by increasingly tricked-out vehicles. The seventh (!) film opened in the spring, and I had not seen more than brief clips of the previous six. Rather than start with the latest, I decided to examine the sixth film, which includes some spectacular stunts and is available on streaming services and DVD.
