The last-minute rush for temporary warehouse space used to be one of the regular- and least enjoyable - aspects of the festive season. Despite a year's worth of warning, and the fact that December 25th is hardly a surprise event, retailers and third-party distributors scrapped and elbowed like Christmas Eve shoppers in their hunt for temporary floorspace to meet the seasonal spike in demand.
