The radiographic manifestations of diffuse infiltrative small-bowel disease are not well established, particularly in veterinary medicine. Although some studies have reported several radiographic features that might be observed, none have correlated the specific imaging characteristics with disease etiopathogenesis. Upper gastrointestinal (UGI) radiographic observations were therefore investigated to determine whether these corresponded with specific causes of diffuse infiltrative small-bowel disease, and whether these findings could differentiate inflammatory disease from neoplastic disease and either of them from normal.
