Whitewell Pot is the mostinteresting of a cluster of cavesand sinks on Hall Hill in theForest of Bowland and the onlyone that reaches the phreaticpassages that must connect themall. Whitewell Pot, WhitewellCave, and Hell Hole have provenhydrological links and Hell Hole,the highest of the group, is 107mhigher and 1km distant fromthe resurgence, indicating thepotential for a cave system ofconsiderable extent.
