Over the past years DBI (Delta Brand Inc) has cooperated with several specialty steel processors in the development of new technologies to process high strength steel sheet. In the process, DBI has implemented and developed state-of-the-art technologies, such as the Outboard Roll Bending Temper Mill (a proven design), the Plate Rotary Shear (patented by DBI) and the Roll Electromagnetic Stacker (a unique design of DBI). Such equipment has been incorporated in new and existing lines to solve problems in processing high strength steels and to meet new quality standards for flatness and residual stress free steel required by fully automatic laser profiling machines which are loaded without the supervision of an operator.
