An Educational Utilization Programme was conducted by Hyderabad Branch Office at Kamala Nehru Polytechnic Women's College, Exhibition Grounds, Nampally on 18 December 2008. Students and lecturers attended the event. Smt Radhika Reddy, Principal of the College in her inaugural speech informed the students about the need of the programme. Shri R. S. Sharma, Head, BIS, HBO in his address appraised the audience about the relevance of standardization and its role in day-to-day life. He explained how standards are useful in building up international trade and safeguard the country's interest in this WTO-TBT regime.
