Lookins at the involvement of Salzgitter Mannesmann Stainless Tubes in the discovery of the Higgs boson at CERN in Switzerland.A few months ago the world's entire scientific community was stirred up by the possible discovery of the famous Higgs boson, and the probability that if this was true that it could lead to finding an essential part needed to understand the very birth of the universe. All this excitement took place inside fifty-four kilometers of Salzgitter Mannesmann Stainless Tubes (SMST) made in the German Group's Costa Volpino factory in Italy.The Large Hadron Collider (LHC) at CERN in Switzerland is a very large, circular apparatus with an immense circumference of twenty-seven kilometers. It lies beneath the Swiss/French border near to the city of Geneva. The LHC's twenty-seven kilometer loop is supported by an international community of scientists and engineers working in multi-national teams. The purpose of the LHC is to probe deeper into the very heart of matter in order to look back billions of years in time to the formation of the cosmos.
