Continuous forming of a tube billet in a series of horizontal driven and vertical idler stands is the conventional method in the sequence of manufacturing operations of the welded tubes production. A calculation technique of the roll-pass design for the welded tube production at which forming is realized using a two-radius groove design is well-known and widely used for production longitudinally welded tubes [1]. However, this technique has a number of substantial disadvantages. A specific technique for calculating radii of curvature of the billet for each stand of the forming mill and recommendation on roll adjustment for the driven stands is absent. All the difficulties mentioned above reduce the practical value of the method and force workshop workers to perform additional studies and calculations.
