Statistical analysis of the chemical composition of high-temperature VZh159 nickel alloy in vacuum-induction melting and vacuum arc remelting yields regression equations that may be used to predict themetal composition in the ingots obtained by vacuum arc remelting as a function of the components in theconsumable electrodes. The variation in oxygen, carbon, nitrogen, sulfur, and phosphorus concentrations inremelting is determined. The results are used in the design of production processes for high-temperaturenickel-alloy ingots at PAO Ruspolimet.
