STAR COUNTS are the simplest way to gauge the darkness and clarity of the night sky. All that's required are your own eyes and a comparison chart to judge which stars are the faintest ones visible,. That's the idea behind the annual Great World Wide Star Count, one of the two largest events of its kind, to be held this year from October 20th to November 3rd.
