摘要

We study the process of symmetrical separation (fracture) of material, when the movement of an external load results in the formation of new surfaces in the given direction. In the vicinity of the separation plane, a layer is singled-out, whose free energy accumulates into surface energy. Under the condition of the process being stationary, a relation between J-integral-type expression and the thermomechanical characteristics of the material has been established. The results obtained are compared with known ones.
