I appreciated your editorial on the declineof science reporting and, indeed, report-ing in general ("Science Journalism inFree Fall," August issue, page 8). I spent13 years in broadcast TV and radio newsand have been very frustrated with theInternet's "democratic revolution" of newsreporting, which across the board seemsto have reduced the sense of responsibilitythat comes with the power of the press.
