摘要

As this editorial will be released at the 20(38 joint Meeting of the European Pancreatic Club and the International Association or'PancreatoIogy in Lodz, Poland, I started to collate thoughts on which I have been meditating for a Jong time. In particular, having scientifically grown and prospered in the United States, I have been fed with a US-centric vision of what is important- At the very junior years of my career, 1 rapidly learned that the APA and A.GA were the most important meetings to attend and that 1 should try to publish in Gastroenierology and Pan-crecis. Throughout the years, 1 even became APA president and Chair of the Pancreatic Sections of the AGA.
