Study question The aim of the study was to assess immunocompromised inpatient knowledge of oral drug treatment on discharge. Summary answer This study demonstrated that immunocompromised patients' drugs were very well known but that adjuvant treatments were less well known than the treatment for chronic disease. The least known component was the administration guidelines. What is known and what this paper adds This study describes a method to assess the knowledge of drugs in immuno-compromised patients who take lots of prescribed drugs. The proposed self-reported questionnaire could be useful to assess the necessity and the effectiveness of interventions in patients with chronic diseases or heavy pill burdens.
