THE DEVELOPMENT of a global gas-to-liquids (GTL) industry I received a setback at the end of May when Doha said it had decided to postpone three projects.The delay has probably arisen because the country has taken on too many large industrial developments in a short space of time and,amid rising construction costs,has favoured more profitable gas ventures over GTL,such as liquefied natural gas (LNG),analysts say.
