摘要

Spectrophotometric and titrimetric methods for assay of 2-phenethyldithiocarbamoylacetic acid (PET) substance were compared in terms of accuracy and reproducibility using experimental and statistical methods. Random errors in the mean results of the spectrophotometric and titrimetric methods were no greater than 0.26% (n = 8, p = 0.95) and 0.11% (n = 7, p = 0.95) respectively. Systematic errors in both methods were smaller than random errors. Both methods gave reproducible and accurate results and can be recommended for assay of PET in substance.
