'The draft EU Directive -a new direction for emissions trading?' was the last session on the last day of the Vision in Business (VIB) conference on greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions for the oil and gas industry held in London on 14-15 May 2002. This afterthough status for trading is typical of the emerging emissions reduction industry. However, far from needing a new direction, would-be emissions traders need a clearer idea of the eventual destination so that they can work out the best route for themselves, writes Liz Bossley, CEO of Write Approach Energy Advisory Services.
