Over the years I have plied my physics training in a number of fields, including the military, industry, clinical health care, academia and management, becoming a certified medical physicist in South Africa some 30 + years ago and obtaining my P.Phys. certification in Canada in 2002.1 have served on the boards of the Canadian Association of Physicists (CAP) and the Canadian Organization of Medical Physicists (COMP) at times when issues related to professional certification and its management have been of concern.
