A Canadian government study has shown that levels of toxic chemicals in some Arctic animals are dropping, The Canadian Press reports. The study examined contaminant levelsin Arctic animals traditionally used for food by northern aboriginals, and found levels of such chemicals as polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) and pesticides sprayed south of the Arctic have leveled off or have started to drop.
