The House Science and Technology Committee approved legislation last week to reauthorize and revise the National Nanotechnology Initiative(NNI),including provisions to promote and prioritize federal research of the environmental,health and safety aspects of the emerging field.The committee passed the bill by voice vote,reflecting a bipartisan desire among the panel's members to push ahead with reauthorization.
