European agriculture ministers last week failed to deliver an opinion after half an hour of discussion on whether to authorize or ban five genetically modified organisms.The decision will now be made by the European Commission.The five GMOs on the Feb.18 agenda included the controversial BASF potato known as Amflora,genetically modified for increased starch content,which was being considered for food and feed use.
