EPA Administrator Lisa Jackson has halted talks with Dow Chemical regarding the cleanup of dioxin contamination in the Saginaw Bay area stemming from the company's Midland,Michigan facility."The new[administrative]team is starting to be fleshed out,and they wanted to take a look for themselves at the situation before proceeding,"EPA Region 5 spokesman Mick Hans told Pesticide & Toxic Chemical News.The new administration has decided to"hear from stakeholders before making the next move."
