The Cornucopia Institute, a Wisconsin-based organic watchdog group, said last week it has filed legal complaints with USDA alleging that Wal-Mart Stores Inc. and a North Carolina-based company, HOMS LLC, are violating organic standards by marketing conventional agricultural oils and other ingredients in pest control products that bear the word "organic" and the green "USDA organic" seal on the label.
