The European Parliament will be able to veto future approvals of biotech foods or health and nutrition claims under a new decision-making procedure to be introduced shortly.An agreement last month among the EU's three main institutions - Parliament,the Council of Ministers and the European Commission - has overhauled Europe's controversial "comitology" procedure for reaching agreement on legislative and regulatory decisions.
