In the Sept. 18 Federal Register (74 FR 47891), EPA issued a final rule amending § 180.634 by amending the established tolerances for the combined residues of the herbicide tembotrione, 2-[2-chloro-4-(methylsulfonyl)-3-[(2,2,2-trifluoroethoxy)methyl] benzoyl]-1,3-cyclohexanedione, and its metabolite, 2-[2-chloro-4(methylsulfonyl)-3-[(2,2,2-trifluoroethoxy)methyl]benzoyl]-4,6-dihydroxy-1, 3-cyclohexandione, in or on: 1. corn, sweet, kernel plus cob with husks removed from 0.04 ppm to 0.01 ppm 2. corn, sweet, forage from 1.0 ppm to 0.35 ppm 3. corn, sweet, stover from 1.2 ppm to 0.60 ppm EPA announced Dec. 3, 2008 that Bayer CropScience, Research Triangle Park, N.C., had petitioned the agency for the tolerances No comments were received in response to the filing notice.
