A federal judge has rejected motions for summary judgment in a New Jersey pesticide exposure case in which the two sides are offering dramatically different versions of what transpired. In his July 29 ruling, U.S. District Judge Robert B. Kugler denied motions to dismiss on the part of the defendants, Larchmont Farms and its president and owner, Charles Haines, who contend the case is required by New Jersey law to instead go before the state workers compensation system.
