Consumer groups from both sides of the Atlantic are calling on the EU and U.S. to establish mandatory reporting schemes for manufactured nanomaterials used in food and consumer products.The call, which aims at keeping track of nanomaterials coming onto the marketplace, came in a resolution adopted at the TransAtlantic Consumer Dialogue (TACD) on June 10. It also says that regulators should exchange information about the products being introduced and both the EU and U.S. should set up "an extensive [and public] inventory of all current and future nanomaterials used in products on the market."
