The N.Y.Supreme Court has ruled that the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey is not liable for alleged injuries to a woman exposed to asbestos dust as a result of handling the work clothes of her husband,an employee of the Port Authority for 30 years.In an Oct.27 decision that reversed an Appellate Division order and reinstated a Supreme Court order,the court ruled that there is no relationship between the Port Authority and the defendant,Elizabeth Holdampf,and so the Port Authority does not"owe a duty of care to her."
