'Green' farming is more profitable than growing genetically modified (GM) crops,according to claims made in a new report published this month by environmental lobby group Friends of the Earth Europe (FoE).The report claims that GM crops are failing EU sustainable development goals as set out in the Lisbon Agenda for growth and jobs.FoE points out that only two GM traits have ever been commercialized on a large scale.
