摘要

A study paper published by the Washington-based International Food Policy Research Institute concludes that Asian countries would benefit from growing biotech crops despite trade obstacles in some foreign markets.Authored by Guillaume Gruere,a research fellow with IFPRI's Program for Biosafety Systems, and his colleagues, the paper evaluates the potential economic effects of introducing transgenic food crops in India,Bangladesh,Indonesia and the Philippines in the presence of trade barriers.
