Stakeholders from both consumer and trade groups raised concerns May 22 during an EPA public meeting regarding potential regulations for plant-incorporated protectants(PIPs),particularly on the definition of PIP production establishments and recordkeeping requirements.EPA held the meeting to solicit input on a number of issues in its April 4 advance notice of proposed rulemaking(ANPRM)for PIPs,including production establishments,recordkeeping,labeling,experimental use permits and exports(see PTCN,April 9,Page 10).
