A number of stakeholders have raised concerns regarding a new model EPA has developed to determine whether watersheds in the Midwest exceed a level of concern for atrazine.The new model, known as the Plant Assemblage Toxicity Index (PATI), was presented at the May 12-15 meeting of the agency's FIFRA Scientific Advisory Panel where EPA indicated it was going to pursue PATI and cease development of an existing, well-known computer model known as the Comprehensive Aquatic Simulation Model (CASM).
