A coalition of 13 state agencies responsible for environmental protection are calling on Congress to reform TSCA to better protect public health and the environment, adding voices to rising support for an overhaul of U.S. chemicals policy. The state coalition issued specific recommendations on Dec. 2 for TSCA reform and voiced its concern that the 3 3-year old statute is currently too weak to ensure chemicals used in commerce are safe.
