A Michigan state judge has granted class action status to lawsuits filed by about 170 individuals for alleged property damages due to dioxin contamination arising from a Dow Chemical plant on the Tittabawassee Rivar in Midland,Mich.Saginaw County Circuit Court Judge Leopold Borrello ruled Oct.21 that the claims are similar enough to grant class status to the plaintiffs who represent an assumed class of nearly 2,000 people.
