New Jersey's two U.S.senators have blocked President Bush's nominee to EPA's Office of Environmental Information(OEI)in protest of the administration's proposed changes to the Toxics Release Inventory(TRI)program.Sens.Frank Launtenberg(D)and Robert Menendez(D)announced last week they have put a hold on the nomination of Molly O'Neill to head OEI,citing concerns about how the administration's proposal will limit the public's access to information about toxic chemicals released into the environment.
