The Canadian government has prohibited the import, sale and use of three polybrominated diphenyl ether (PBDE) congeners — tetraBDE, pentaBDE and hexaBDE — as well as outlawed the manufacture of all PBDE congeners — components of commercial PBDE mixtures.
